Benefits of Massage

My clients rely on massage to maintain good health, improve circulation, flexibility and relieve stress. Tight muscles restrict blood flow, reducing oxygen and nutrients to cells. Massage increases circulation so that cells are cleansed and return to a healthy, non-toxic state. Sen lines can be stimulated signaling proper flow of energy or chi through the body and visceral manipulation can stimulate harmonious action of internal organs. Unlike pharmaceuticals, the body is given a chance to move away from a dis-eased state rather than simply treating the manifestations of an underlying problem.

Massage In The Workplace
  • Most overuse injuries occur in the workplace.
  • It costs companies millions annually for medical treatment of these conditions.
  • Injuries are often misdiagnosed as conditions such as carpal tunnel, arthritis, and the like.  The success rate of treatment is often dismal, with pain, suffering and needless expense resulting.
  • Muscles of the shoulder girdle can often refer pain into the forearm, hand and wrist; trigger points can cause aschemia and impaired nerve inervation and the development of fibrotic tissue that can mimic a more serious condition such as the aforementioned carpal tunnel syndrome.
  • Chair massage can reduce or eliminate these causative factors by correcting postural distortion and restoring normal physiological function providing a valuable service to both company and employee.
  • Companies such as The Investors Relations Group, Inc. of New York, Boeing, Reebok, The Calvert Group of Bethesda, Maryland and Closet Maid of Ocala, Florida to name a few, have found that employee retention and morale have improved while insurance costs have been reduced since therapy has been instituted.

Your First Session

Before your first session, you'll be asked to fill out an intake form so that anything that might affect your treatment can be taken into account.

This will be followed by a brief consultation where you can ask questions and the massage pattern will be outlined for you. With this completed, areas needing attention will be palpated and range of motion established, and this will be followed by your treatment.

This is an outcall service. It is strictly therapeutic and non-sexual.
Schedule an appointment and see why so many are turning to massage as part of their healthcare regimen.
